Just saw a liquidation case: the oracle feed price was delayed by more than ten seconds, and the next thing you know, someone beat you to it and stole the meat. 😅 Saying “wait for confirmation” in situations like this is like waiting in a downpour for someone to show up with an umbrella—you’ll be soaked through long before the umbrella arrives.

Back when cross-chain bridges were being stolen, there were similar shenanigans too—once the quoted price feed was stuck for a beat, the liquidation line just slid straight into a staircase. Basically, no matter how fast the on-chain world is, if the oracle feed price lags by half a step, it can turn you from “arbitraging” into “bag-holding.” Anyway, now whenever I see an oracle announcement, I’ve gotten into the habit of watching the timestamp too—don’t ask why; I’ve been burned before.
