When a sea of green lights fills the screen, what truly wakes people up isn’t the drawdown percentage—it’s that those earlier details finally connect. A few days ago the afternoon market looked lively, but in reality the higher levels were getting increasingly hollow. 📉
I was watching ICP at the time and noticed that several breakouts failed to continue meaningfully. The buy-side looked like it couldn’t catch its breath, while the sell-side showed up the moment price reached key levels. The rebound was weak and there was clear pressure overhead. This condition isn’t suitable for chasing longs, so I executed a long around 2.528.
Now $ICP has come to 2.139, and the short trade returned +741.03%. There really was a need for some patience beforehand. The real opportunity often isn’t at the most exciting moment, but after the strong support starts showing cracks.
Close 80% first; the remaining 20% will keep under observation, with the protective level tightened around the cost basis. If there’s further downside selling, let the remaining position run with it; if there’s a rebound, exit according to the plan—don’t treat profit as a chip to gamble one more time.
Being flat isn’t a crime; opening trades randomly is the mistake. Chasing orders can get stuck at the mountaintop. Hold steady before new signals appear, and move again with the next shot.
