The UK Met Office said on the 9th that in 2026, the UK has already had 8 days with temperatures above 34°C, breaking the previous record of 7 days of high temperatures for the entire year. The European Union’s climate monitoring agency released a report the same day confirming that Western Europe has just experienced the hottest June on record.
