What industry has the highest cost in the market?
Shorting stubbornly amid a short-squeeze行情.
$AKE The current price action is a textbook example: prices have been pushed higher nonstop, and everyone keeps shouting that a new bull market is starting, yet open interest is falling in sync.
What does this imply? There’s almost no fresh off-exchange capital rushing in to drive the rally; the upward move is only a passive buy pressure caused by shorts panicking and covering.
Funding rates remain negative, indicating there are still plenty of traders in the market who want to short.
As long as shorts are still being forced to cover and surrender, this uptrend will continue.
But once the last batch of shorts finally gives up and exits, the market will quickly reverse and hit hard the longs that chased and bought at the high.
Many people see an explosive, roaring pull-up, but the crash comes even faster than the rise.
