GUSD Yield Rises To 3.8 Percent New Base For Stable Earn
Gate GUSD just lifted base yield to 3.8 percent and that move turns idle USDT into a working asset without leaving Gate.
What changed. Earlier base was 2.8 percent. Now base is 3.8 percent for GUSD held in Spot or Earn. Yield accrues daily and settles at maturity. You mint GUSD with USDT at 1 to 1, hold, and redeem close to 1 to 1 plus yield. Backing comes from Gate ecosystem income, short term gov bills and other stable reserves. Security runs via three separate layers that keep mint and redeem flow safe.
Scale so far. Total GUSD issue topped 168 million per Gate data, with onchain supply over 100 million. In May issue was 166 million, so growth is steady. Why it grows is simple. Users see base plus extra stack.
Dual earn model. This is key. Hold GUSD in Spot and you already earn base 3.8 percent. Move same GUSD to Earn or Launchpool and you earn base plus pool yield. Recent pools show AVNT 16.32 percent, U 16.85 percent, BOT 16.07 percent. Add base on top and effective return is higher. Gate calls this dual interest. Tiered plan adds more for small holders. New user composite can reach up to 100 percent with promos and early mint perks, with instant redeem for mint rewards.
How to use on Gate. Step one go to GUSD staking page on Gate and mint with USDT. Step two keep GUSD in Spot for auto base yield or send to Earn flexible for extra. Step three join Launchpool with GUSD to stack yield. Step four track daily accrual and compound.
Why 3.8 percent matters now. US 10 year near 4.69 percent, Fed meet July 28 to 29 ahead, risk mood tight after Brent over 100. In such tape traders sit on cash more. GUSD 3.8 percent base means cash does not sit dead. For active traders, you can hold GUSD as margin collateral proxy and still earn while waiting for BTC move around 66000. For long term holders, GUSD beats many stable idle rates that sit near 3.8 to 5.37 percent for USDT but with less flex.
Risk note. GUSD yield comes from real world assets and Gate income, not from token inflation. Still check terms: mint ratio, redeem timing, pool caps and Earn lock.
In short GUSD yield rises to 3.8 percent base, with onchain supply over 100 million and total over 168 million. With Launchpool stack up to 16 percent plus, Gate turns stable holding into active earn while you stay ready for next trade.
