Wu reports that Alex Thorn, research director at Galaxy Research, said in a post that the number of dormant Bitcoin coins awakened in the second quarter of 2026 has fallen to its lowest level since the third quarter of 2022, dropping significantly from the highs in 2024 and 2025.
