The most important thing I wanted to record in this replay isn’t how far the short ended up running, but how I almost got ground down and lost patience before I even hit start. The price whipsawed around 5.542—several times it looked like it was about to dump, then it was pulled back again. That phase was genuinely easy to panic, and I even started doubting my judgment.

I didn’t chase the position just because of a brief rebound, and I didn’t rush in after seeing the first bearish candle. When the holding started to loosen, sell pressure kept showing up. The price moved from 5.542 all the way to 5.157. The shorts finally cashed in the earlier weakness, and the result was +336.28%.

What’s most worth remembering here is that real declines often don’t happen suddenly. Instead, patience gets worn down first at higher levels, and then a pullback is used to create a false impression. After many people get shaken out, when the market finally drops, they realize they already don’t have any room left—they can only stand by and miss the move.

After this run played out, I’m more confident in my judgment, but I won’t get carried away. Not every time at the high can you smoothly take the meat. Being able to read changes in the order flow and stick to the rhythm is already a skill old players practice again and again.
