Staring at the order book for too long, it’s really starting to get a bit neurotic. Today I saw another liquidation: the oracle’s quoted price was lagging the on-chain actual price by more than a dozen blocks, so the big account that should have been liquidated ended up surviving one more round. In the end, it got liquidated anyway—and still lost even more after it finally blew up. Bottom line: oracle price-feed delays are too unfair to ordinary users. You’re watching the market, but in the background the quotes are already out of sync.

Actually, lately hardware wallets have been out of stock, and everyone is scrambling to buy cold wallets to prevent phishing—but this kind of hidden “time-lag attack” on-chain is even more dangerous. During the recent high-frequency period, phishing links have been flying everywhere. But if you’ve already used a hardware wallet and then you still get mistakenly liquidated due to oracle delay—now that’s truly frustrating. Anyway, when I trade now, I also double-check the last updated time of the price feed. If something looks abnormal, I take a screenshot and report it—though it’s pretty tiring, it’s better than watching other people get screwed. That’s all for now—everyone stay safe.
