Phantom will stop supporting the Monad network on August 26; user assets can be migrated or converted

On July 25, crypto wallet Phantom announced it plans to end support for the Monad network starting August 26. Phantom said it will notify Monad users via in-app announcements in the future and provide supporting documentation to help users migrate or exchange Monad native assets. The official emphasized that all Monad assets will remain accessible normally. After the transition is complete, users can restore their recovery phrase into a compatible Monad wallet, or exchange their assets for Wrapped MON on Solana within Phantom. Phantom said users’ funds remain safe throughout the migration process, and assets always stay under users’ control. Because Phantom uses a non-custodial model, on-chain assets belong to users, and users control assets by restoring the recovery phrase rather than the wallet provider controlling them.
