CryptoGJ.com news: According to Al Jazeera, a Houthi spokesperson, Mohammed Abdul-Salam, said the group’s maritime blockade imposed on Saudi Arabia is the first step in a “blockade-for-blockade” operation. The spokesperson accused Saudi Arabia of failing in the eight-year Yemen war, then shifting to military and economic actions to exert pressure, and claimed Saudi Arabia is trying to make up for its losses through an economic blockade. As reported by Al-Masirah TV, a Houthi-affiliated outlet, he also accused Saudi Arabia of escalating the conflict by attacking Hodeidah, Kamaran Island, and Sana’a airport, warning that any attack on Yemen will be met with retaliation. Abdul-Salam said Saudi Arabia’s actions will have consequences for its own security and economy.
