The most expensive profession in the market?

Being a short-seller during a short squeeze.
That’s exactly what the situation with $AKE is reminding us of right now. The price is rising, everyone is starting to scream about a new bull run... while Open Interest is declining.

What does that mean? New money is barely coming in. The market is being pushed upward by the sellers themselves, who are panicking and closing their positions.

Funding remains negative, meaning there are still plenty of people willing to short.

While they capitulate, the move could continue.

But once the last seller gives up, the market may well ask a very unpleasant question to those who decided to buy the top.

Sometimes the most beautiful pumps end faster than they even start.$AKE

Shorts are for extremely risky situations—go for it, and the returns are higher.

Every time I see this kind of pump, I get all jittery—because in the end, the ones left holding the bag are the people who chase the price higher, while the shorts have already run.

OI is down, and the funding rate is still negative—this pump is entirely just the shorts capitulating; once they’re wiped out, it should flip direction.

The more aggressively it’s running up, the more you need to stay alert—bull markets without new money coming in are an illusion; watch out for getting stuck holding the bag.

Bears, don’t cry, and bulls, don’t laugh— the scythe will fall sooner or later.

This kind of negative-fee rate rise is like watering in the desert—looks green, but there’s no root. Once the shorts get squeezed, it turns into a waterfall.

The position size is definitely decreasing. I don’t know when the stock-manipulation syndicate will dump the price 😂
