Everyone has their own “Hynix”.

In a bull market, there is no faith collapse—only prices that haven’t dropped enough to satisfy you.
Bought the Nikkei 225 in 1991, and it took 34 years just to get back to break even.
Invested in P2P wealth management in 2015—there’s still no sign of the principal.
Went all-in on an ICO in 2017—getting wiped out became a term in history textbooks.
In 2021, bought NFT profile pics at the top—the nerve to even place sell orders is gone now.
Last year, chased popular AI concept stocks—after they halved, you’re still waiting for a “technical rebound.”
This year, used leverage to bottom-call some “defensive asset”—the leverage was wiped out first.

When things are up, it’s always value investing; when they’re down, that’s when you learn what you actually bought was emotion.
What truly determines whether you can survive a full cycle has never been whether you picked a particular ten-bagger stock—it’s whether you have position management, stop-loss discipline, and whether you kept a clear head during the frenzy.
The market is never short of fortune-making myths; what’s missing is people who can make it through to the next cycle.

History won’t simply repeat, but it rhymes. Every time the market swings between bull and bear, it’s an extreme test of retail investors’ understanding.

So true. Many people only focus on returns, but never consider whether they can withstand an 80% drawdown. Position management is more important than choosing coins—more important even than choosing a direction—because as long as you’re still alive, you have a chance. And those who use leverage are just handing their fate to luck.

In fact, the so-called “Hynix” is really just the boundary of everyone’s knowledge. You can only earn money within the limits of your understanding; anything beyond that is a gift from the market, and you’ll have to give it back eventually. So rather than chasing profits, it’s better to first cultivate your mindset and discipline.

Hey, each round is a new story, but the ending is pretty much the same. The key is not to be that last person who gets stuck holding the bag.

Indeed, living to the next cycle is the real skill.
