$MU Micron fell from 987 to 905—are the bargain hunters doing okay? Memory chips are basically a bottomless pit right now

Brothers, this move by Micron really screwed over the people who chased longs.

It dropped from 987 to 905—80 points just disappeared, with no decent bounce in between. A lot of people saw it drop “enough” and rushed in to try to make a quick haul, only to get trapped one after another. With tech stocks in this environment, where does the confidence for a rebound in memory chips come from? Trump’s tariff bat is flying everywhere; the trade war is getting worse and worse. The “seven tech giants” saw $800 billion evaporate in a week, and all the funds are rushing into safe-haven assets—stocks like Micron basically no one dares to take over.

The panic over AI capex hasn’t been digested yet, and memory chips are also running into a seasonal demand slump—so tell me how the fundamentals are supposed to rise?

From the chart, around 905 hasn’t broken down for now, but MA25 and MA99 are both overhead, pressing down. In the short term, the moving averages are still trending downward—this is the typical way a weak rebound plays out.

Mig’s personal trading advice:
If you want to short, don’t rush to chase here. After it has already dropped a round, wait for the rebound to around 940 before taking action—it’ll be more comfortable. If you’re more aggressive and want to try shorting, you can start with a light position once above 930 to observe.

Personal view:
Memory chip’s rough days aren’t over yet. This low at 905 will most likely be tested again. Don’t rush to bottom-fish—let the bullets fly for a bit longer.
