Just as I was about to shut down the charts and go to sleep, the price beat me to it and delivered the short-seller’s answer to me. A few days ago, before sleep, $MON was still repeatedly testing at higher levels. It looked lively on the surface, but every time it tried to push higher, it was short by just one breath—trading volume didn’t keep up, while sell pressure overhead became increasingly clear.

During the session, I watched how MON’s order book support changed. I saw the rally lacked follow-through; the buy side couldn’t hold it. So I judged this was more like the loosening after a bull trap, and I went long around 0.02670—not chasing the apparent strength after it moved.

Now the price is at 0.02118. The short position is up 995.62%—this profit finally got cashed in. I’ll close 80% first; for the remaining 20%, I’ll move the protection level to around the entry cost. If it keeps dumping, let the profits run. And if there’s a rebound, don’t give back what you’ve already taken.

Being in no position isn’t a crime—opening positions recklessly is the mistake. If you haven’t boarded yet, don’t chase in this stretch. Wait for the next round at a more comfortable level. Once a new structure forms, take another look—opportunities are still there. Don’t rush.
