On the 25th, Yemen’s Houthi forces said on social media that they used missiles to strike Jazan, a city in southern Saudi Arabia. On the same day, Saudi civil defense issued a safety alert to residents of Jazan and to those in Yanbu, a city on the Red Sea coast. Minutes later, it announced that the alert had been lifted. On the 20th, the Houthis announced a maritime blockade against Saudi Arabia and warned international shipping companies that vessels conducting trade with Saudi ports could face military strikes.
