Has gold’s “breathing pause” arrived? Latest outlook from France’s trade bank: the Fed may keep rates unchanged throughout 2026 or for the year


Recently, gold prices have been swinging back and forth around the $4,000 threshold, leaving everyone on edge. But France’s trade bank has just released a major forward-looking report, directly giving the market reassurance: it expects that the Fed will not only refrain from raising rates next week, but will most likely keep interest rates unchanged throughout all of 2026. The “Damocles’ sword” of possible rate hikes hanging over gold has been temporarily taken down.
