$CRWV worth $71.62—dare you take this knife?

First, look at the chart: bleak, really bleak.
The previous trading day closed at 81.08, opened with a jump straight down to 78.56, peaked only at 79.25, then got hammered all the way to 71.60; it ultimately closed at 71.62, a single-day plunge of 11.66%. It closed almost right on the day’s low, and the buy side didn’t even organize a decent counterattack.
First thing: AI compute demand is real, not just a PPT.
CoreWeave’s Q1 revenue was $2.08B, compared with only $982 million in the same period last year; its order backlog is already close to $100 billion, and Nvidia also invested $2.0 billion. Customers are fighting for GPUs, scrambling for server racks, and抢 compute power—the company’s growth story is genuinely solid.
Second thing: What the market fears isn’t the lack of orders—it’s that the pace at which it earns money can’t keep up with the cash burn.
In Q1, net loss was $740 million, with interest expenses alone at $536 million. In June, it also issued $1.25 billion of bonds with a 9.625% coupon, and $2.0 billion of bonds with an 8.5% coupon in euros. Revenue doubling is aggressive, but financing costs are equally terrifying—the bigger the scale, the more money has to be fed in.
Third thing: 71.60 is the first line of defense in front of it; 79—81 is the door that the bulls must reclaim.
Resistance above: 79.25 → 81.08
Support below: 71.60 → 70 psychological level
For short-term traders: don’t reach just because it’s down 11%. First, see if 71.60 can hold; then see whether price has the ability to get back above 79.25. If it can’t reclaim it, any rebound is more like catching a breath.
For swing traders: wait for the 70—71.60 area to show consecutive sell-offs easing and stop making new lows, then consider whether there’s a right-side opportunity. If it breaks below 70, it suggests selling pressure hasn’t been released cleanly.
For long-term players: what you really need to watch isn’t day-to-day price moves, but whether orders can turn into cash flow and whether interest expense can come down. CoreWeave doesn’t lack a story—it’s missing proof that it can turn the compute business into real profit.
Order backlog is close to $100 billion, yet the stock price wipes out 11.66% in a single day.
Are you buying into an AI compute boom, or are you footing the bill for high-interest debt?
