A reporter learned from the Ministry of Finance that on July 14, the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Emergency Management urgently pre-allocated 430 million yuan in central natural disaster relief funds to support 10 provinces (autonomous regions/municipalities)—Guangxi, Zhejiang, Hebei, Liaoning, Tianjin, Heilongjiang, Jiangsu, Anhui, Jiangxi, and Sichuan—in carrying out emergency flood-control and typhoon-rescue operations. Of this amount, based on an earlier pre-allocation of 190 million yuan, an additional pre-allocation of 150 million yuan was allocated to support Guangxi in continuing to focus on arranging housing for disaster-affected people, providing living assistance during the transition period, and repairing residential houses damaged or destroyed by disasters, so as to help the disaster areas restore normal production and daily life as soon as possible; 280 million yuan was pre-allocated to support the other nine provinces (cities) in overall coordination to carry out emergency response measures such as search and rescue, transferring and resettling affected people, eliminating hazards and removing risks, conducting inspections for potential secondary disaster hazards, and carrying out emergency remediation efforts, to reduce disaster losses to the maximum extent.
