$ORDI Rises and falls are arbitrary; everything is illusion…………………………

Life’s trials and death’s tribulation are gently sent away.
Countless forms and appearances only draw attention where desire is fixated.
The mirror is not stained by mortal dust; but worldly thoughts still stir.
What happens today depends on the seeds planted that day.
The scripture in my hand must be recited in my heart.
Facing heaven and earth, I make my dream whole.

With a banana-leaf fan, you can’t brush it clear.
Recite the tight spell, and the mind becomes lucid.
With palms joined, one calculation lifts the cassock—taking my western scriptures.
In the mortal world, heaven and fairy realms are even more steadfast.
Through raging fire and deep snow, test my devotion with sincerity.
Hands pressed together, smiling once—no need for love or hate, only love for the western scriptures.

Refrain from hatred and refrain from resentment, but do not abandon deep affection—my heart still cannot grow still.
Yet, if I restrain desire and restrain obsession, can I rise beyond the ordinary and enter sainthood?

Life’s trials and death’s tribulation are gently sent away.
Countless forms and appearances only draw attention where desire is fixated.
The mirror is not stained by mortal dust; but worldly thoughts still stir.
What happens today depends on the seeds planted that day.
The scripture in my hand must be recited in my heart.
Facing heaven and earth, I make my dream whole.
