$SPCX Launched at 6:51 Beijing time — overall success. After receiving this success news, even if SPCX is closed for the day, there should be some pre-market action and adjustments.

But based on the current data, the market is still sluggish. As a high-tech company exploring space, after successfully completing exploration and collecting data, SPCX shouldn’t be performing like this.

Right now, SPCX is basically “buying only the dips and not the rallies.” With just a bit of negative news, it gets dumped hard (the last time the launch was paused). Meanwhile, with huge positive news, it barely moves.

SPCX’s earlier chance to escape the top: 225-171-165-155-145-135 125-115-105-95-85
(Buying the dip got trapped—basically down about 10 percentage points.)

But since it’s the weekend and the market is closed, the specifics still depend on how the order book adjusts when the market opens on Monday. If it keeps falling as usual, and combined with the arrival of the first batch of unlocks, it will be an unprecedented disaster for the bulls. #SpaceX

Good news doesn’t mean it will rise—if it doesn’t, something will likely “act up.” The fact that capital is voting with its feet suggests the underlying issues aren’t minor. With unlocks piling on top of weekend sentiment, chances are Monday will open lower; bulls will have to fend for themselves.

Buying dips but not buying breakouts— the nightmare of retail investors.

As a value investor, I only care about the company’s revenue and profit. SPCX is currently valued too high, with poor liquidity. Even if the launch succeeds, it would only be a sentiment boost and can’t change the underlying weakness in the fundamentals. I suggest reassessing the direction after the close on Monday.

To be honest, the launch success itself has limited impact on the stock price, because the market has already gotten used to SpaceX’s routine, standardized successes—unless there is a major breakthrough or a commercial contract is finalized.

Monday’s market is critical. If it opens lower and keeps sliding, the unlocked selling pressure will directly break through the price and drive it down. It’s recommended to wait until the market steadies before entering.

This string of sell-off-at-the-high exit prices makes my scalp crawl—how many people have fallen on the road to trying to catch the bottom.
