NVIDIA plans to sign a cooperation agreement worth $500 billion with South Korea’s SK Group

Golden Finance reported that on July 25, Nvidia announced on Friday that it would partner with South Korea’s SK Group to launch an AI initiative totaling more than $500 billion, covering the construction of large-scale AI data centers and next-generation memory technologies. The plan includes establishing a long-term partnership with SK hynix, aiming to ensure that Nvidia receives next-generation memory supply and to jointly develop high-bandwidth memory (HBM) for AI training, AI agents, and physical AI applications. SK Telecom plans to build an AI data center with an installed capacity of 2 gigawatts (GW). The facility will use Nvidia’s Vera Rubin chips and SK hynix’s HBM4 high-bandwidth memory. The first facility is expected to go into operation in 2027. (Jin10)
