Trump holds a meeting with senior officials to discuss whether to expand military strikes against Iran

Mars Finance reported that on July 25, according to a report by The New York Times, four people with knowledge of the matter said that US President Trump held a meeting on Friday with senior advisers and senior cabinet officials to discuss whether to further increase the intensity of military strikes against Iran. The report said the meeting came at a critical turning point in US policy toward Iran. Previously, the fragile ceasefire agreement between the US and Iran and the memorandum of understanding aimed at pushing both sides back to the negotiating table and reaching a long-term nuclear-free agreement had both fallen apart. Sources said the Trump administration is currently evaluating its next course of action, including whether to escalate military actions targeting Iran.
