To be honest, I wasn’t initially in a hurry to short. I just noticed that every rebound was weaker than the last, and while the price was grinding at high levels, there hadn’t been any fresh buying to take over. By the time it surged and failed again around 0.21896, I finally shifted my attention to the short side.
Once I entered, it wasn’t easy. There was a particularly fierce dead-cat bounce in the middle, almost making me doubt my judgment. In moments like that, it’s easiest to get trigger-happy and keep topping up, or to get shaken out by the shakeout and exit too early—I chose to first check whether the key levels could hold again.
As a result, the market kept pressing down to 0.12067. This trade review shows a gain of +1100.77%. With an 80/20 batch handling approach, the earlier volatility didn’t throw off the rhythm, and the protective level also kept me from getting overly panicked during the rebound.
The most important thing to remember this time is the details in a weak market: not every rebound means a reversal, and a short thesis isn’t only valid when you see one big bearish candle. After the drop, I became even more confident in this judgment, but I still won’t get carried away just because I’m in profit.
