This $TAO short position didn’t start off nicely. The price kept oscillating around 277.1. I’d just gotten in for not long before a push upward hit—at that moment, I was genuinely a bit panicked. When my hands started itching to trade, I even thought about exiting right away, afraid that I’d just caught a short “flying knife.”
But I didn’t get carried away by that spike. Mainly because every time the price surged on higher-volume at the highs, it was followed by a pullback. The buy-side looked lively, but in reality, nobody was willing to keep taking it. Once the price broke down through the previous consolidation range, selling pressure noticeably accelerated, and the market truly started tilting toward the short side.
Then the price reached 190.4. The outcome of this trade came out to +1508.52%. From almost getting washed out to eventually reclaiming this downswing, the shift in emotions was clear—and it made me see more clearly that trading can’t be judged only by the fluctuations of the next few minutes.
Holding through this time wasn’t because I’m braver than others. It’s because I didn’t treat a single counter-direction move as the whole answer. The logic of being under pressure at the highs is still there. As long as the chart hasn’t broken, you can’t mess up the rhythm first.
