think many beginners quit copy trading too early.

After just a few losing trades, they stop copying. But every successful trader has red days. The real question is whether they can recover and stay consistent.
How long do you usually give a trader before deciding to stop copying?

Give traders a little time—like you can’t dig up the soil right after sowing to see if it’s grown. Patience is a friend whose returns compound.

Indeed, many beginners panic after losing on a few trades. In fact, even stable traders experience drawdowns—the key is how they adjust.

To be honest, at least you have to track 30 transactions— the sample size is too small to judge performance, and only looking at profit and loss is too naive.

Red tickets aren’t scary—the scary part is getting tangled up randomly without logic. Either believe everything, or don’t touch them from the start.

My friend gave up after losing on three trades, and it turned out that later they doubled up—he was kicking himself for it. Sometimes persistence and trust are even more important than the technology.

You can set an observation period and a stop-loss line—for example, follow it for the first two weeks. If it keeps losing and the strategy hasn’t changed, then stop, but don’t get worked up over just one or two trades.

The rule I set for myself is: only consider changing people if there’s a streak of losses exceeding 20% or a drawdown longer than one month; otherwise, it’s all noise.

To be honest, most beginners just fall apart mentally—when they see losses, they want to stop-loss immediately, but copy trading is inherently a long-term mindset.
