I’ve been lurking for days, and I really can’t hold it in any longer—I had to jump in and say something. Recently, new L1s and L2s have been rolling out one after another with incentives. In the group, the older guys are cursing “dig up, sell, and pump,” yet they still rush in to interact—I can almost feel my chest aching for them. Honestly, now airdrops are like going to work: you burn gas fees running into the thousands, and in the end you might only get a few dozen dollars, and you still have to lock it for half a year. They may even directly flag you as a “sybil” and go after “anti-sybil” behavior—project teams know your wallet better than you do. Anyway, I’ve learned my lesson now: first check whether the project actually does something that makes sense for people; otherwise, no matter how lively it gets, I won’t touch it. Don’t let yourself get set up for that little bit of petty gain—after all, when you’re crossing a bridge, you should also check whether the bridge is broken.
