$ON 24h surged 13.5% to 0.2000—do you think it’s about to break the previous high? I’ll tell you 0.2091 is the hard ceiling. Anyone who chased in has been buried there three times. Total trading volume for the day is 69.5M. It looks lively, but in reality the main players are running the classic script of fooling retail into boarding.
In the upper wick at 0.2091 six hours ago, at least 30% of the FOMO chase orders were trapped. Now it’s just sitting around 0.2000, waiting for the next bag-holder.
My discipline plan is: place short orders in the 0.2050–0.2080 range, stop-loss at 0.2120, and take profit first to watch for a breakdown of 0.1900 before reducing the position. Position size must not exceed 5%, because this bounce from 0.1581 to 0.2091 has already eaten up 10 days of upside. Short-term profit-takers can dump at any moment.
If the entry price doesn’t come, don’t enter. If it drops below 0.1950 first, you can bottom-fish with a small position. Stop-loss at 0.1900, take profit at 0.2080.
Remember: only a break below 0.1581 counts as a trend reversal. Now, any rebound is a sell signal.
One more reminder: don’t trust any “on-chain data” anomalies. The ON takeover script in July is exactly the same—pump 15% and then drop back to the starting point within three days. Your money in your account isn’t blown in by the wind—don’t get itchy just because it’s up 13%. I shorted a position at 0.2030 this morning. I’m currently in profit and holding until take profit.
Forecast for $ON over the next 48 hours: 89% probability of first pulling back to 0.1820, then grinding at the lows. Only if the close is above 0.2100 would I consider switching to go long, but right now there’s no sign of that momentum.
