📉 US stock premarket: Intel growth hits a 15-year high; earnings from the three storage giants next week are in focus

Intel’s Q2 revenue grew 25% year over year, marking the strongest growth in nearly fifteen years, and its Q3 outlook also beat expectations. Data center business revenue rose nearly 60% year over year, more than double the overall revenue growth rate—AI compute demand is still accelerating.
Rising prices for memory chips have already filtered through to downstream players: NVIDIA has sent a notice of increases in memory kits to its board partners, while Apple, under cost pressure, is pushing its panel suppliers to cut prices. Next week, SK hynix, Samsung Electronics, and Kioxia will release results in sequence, and market expectations are broadly upbeat. Samsung’s Q2 revenue was already up 129% year over year, and operating profit surged 18 times to a historic high.
In addition, Oracle won a $7 billion Department of Defense software contract, and NVIDIA signed a $1.5 billion agreement with Amkor Technology for packaging facilities. A demand closed loop across the AI industry chain—from chip design and packaging to software services—is starting to take shape.
