Morgan Stanley Analyst Turns Bearish on Memory Chips; KOSPI Pullback Cited

Citrini analyst Jukan said a circulating Morgan Stanley report shows analyst Shawn Kim turned bearish on the memory chip industry, with NAND module inventory rising to about 13 weeks. The report expects NAND price growth to slow to about 5% in the fourth quarter after spot prices fell for two consecutive months. Jukan said he verified the report's authenticity with sources and said the view could be one reason for the recent sustained pullback in South Korea's KOSPI index.
