Japan’s core CPI has risen for 58 consecutive months

Golden Finance reported that, according to data released by Japan’s Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications on July 24, Japan’s core Consumer Price Index (CPI) excluding fresh food in June rose 1.6% year over year to 113.1, marking 58 consecutive months of year-over-year increases. Higher food prices remain the main driver of Japan’s core CPI rise.
