July 24 Evening Gold Update:

Driven by U.S.-Iran-related developments, the U.S. has carried out airstrikes on Iraq for 12 consecutive days. Red Sea cruise vessels were attacked, continuing to push up U.S. indicators. The “Big Seven” in U.S. stocks saw a notable pullback; on the day, more than $800 billion in market value was wiped out, which also adds pressure to gold prices—this is another key factor.

From a technical perspective, on the four-hour timeframe, the bearish characteristics of the price pattern are clearly evident. The overall moving-average system shows a standard bearish alignment. The Bollinger Bands’ opening continues to tilt downward, the downward channel has opened, and the range boundary levels are clearly defined.

The key short-term support below is concentrated in the 4020-4000 area, while the short-term pressure above lies at 4080-4090.

Trading suggestion: If gold rebounds to 4080-4090, consider shorting; targets are 4020-4000. If price moves down and meets resistance, and fails to effectively break through that support range, then consider reversing and entering a short position. #布伦特原油重返100美元

This analysis is spot on. The short positions from 4080–4090 are indeed solid, but you also need to watch whether the 4000 support can hold; if it breaks, it may continue to dip further.
