Oh wow, Lu Suying is the biggest winner of SK hynix.
After SK hynix Group chairman Choi Tae-won previously admitted an extramarital affair and that he had a secret daughter, he filed for divorce. Through years of litigation, his ex-wife Lu Suying sought a share of the SK Group wealth accumulated during their 30-plus years of marriage, and was ultimately temporarily awarded about $640 million.
The potential compensation the woman may receive currently:
· Property division: 944B won, about $640 million
· Damages for emotional distress: 2B won, about $1.36 million
· Total about 946B won, about $645 million
Among them, the 2B won damages have already been finalized, and the 944B won is the latest retrial ruling. Choi Tae-won may still appeal. Note: Lu Suying is the daughter of former President Roh Tae-woo of South Korea.
