According to FinanceFeeds, India’s parliamentary standing committee on finance has recommended that, before comprehensive crypto legislation comes into effect, a temporary regulatory framework be established first, to be enforced by recognized self-regulatory organizations (SROs) and supervised by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) or the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI). The SRO is expected to handle platform reserve audits, segregation of customer and company assets, token information disclosure, and user complaint handling, to fill the current regulatory gap for Indian crypto exchanges and Web3 platforms.
