CoinWired news: According to SlowMist monitoring, the decentralized finance protocol Lien Finance suffered an attack. The attacker exploited a smart contract vulnerability to mint under-collateralized bond tokens and stole about $542,000 USDC. Without destroying the corresponding input bonds, the attacker minted new non-abnormal bondtokens and exchanged them for USDC via a pre-authorized address, ultimately transferring about 542,144.63 USDC out of the victim address. This incident was caused by a verification flaw in the bond token redemption logic, which allowed the attacker to bypass asset collateralization constraints and mint unsupported assets.666
