🗓️ The Shutdown Timeline
Disabled Features (Since July 23): The platform has already halted new account registrations, wallet creations, and the placement of new limit orders.
Read-Only Mode (July 27 - July 30): Starting July 27, the Odos app will switch entirely to read-only mode. Users will only be able to view their transaction history and balances.
Permanent Closure (July 30): All Odos-operated services will permanently cease. The team will no longer provide any development, customer support, or platform maintenance.
⚠️ URGENT Action Required for Some Users
Because Odos is a non-custodial platform, most users' assets remain safely on-chain and directly under their control. However, if you created your wallet via social media or email login, you must urgently transfer your assets to an external wallet or export your private keys before July 30.
What Happens to the ODOS Token & DAO?
Despite the operating company folding, the ODOS token and the Odos DAO will continue to exist.
Odos clarified that the token operates independently on-chain and the operating company does not custody or market-make the token. The shutdown will not affect the token's smart contract mechanics, and the independent Odos DAO will announce its own separate future plans in due course. (Note: The team is explicitly warning users to beware of scammers offering fake "token migrations" or "airdrop claims" during this transition.)
The closure of Odos highlights the fierce competition and tightening margins in the decentralized exchange aggregation space. While non-custodial DeFi ensures user funds aren't trapped in a centralized bankruptcy (like FTX or Celsius), the sudden loss of platform infrastructure is a stark reminder to always maintain direct, sovereign control over your private keys.#ODOS
