Deep Tide TechFlow message: On July 24, according to monitoring by Hyperinsight, the “giant whale” starting with 0x511 is still holding firm at SK Hynix’s high level. It is currently holding 4,034 SKHX long contracts with 3x full-position leverage, with an opening average price of $1,622.6. The position value is about $4.942 million, and the liquidation price is $923.67. It is currently sitting on an unrealized loss of $1.6034 million (-73.5%); it is now SKHX’s largest unrealized loss address.

This long position began at around 12:00 a.m. on June 26 (Beijing time) and has lasted 28 days so far. At that time, SKHX was still hovering around $1,900. Its first entry bought 325.5 contracts at an average price of $1,898.5—this entry price is already 55.1% higher than the current price. Since then, during the continuous decline, it averaged down four times at approximately $1,659, $1,678, $1,436, and $1,361. After the final add-on on July 15, the position has not changed again.

Holding the position keeps costing money: since this long position was opened, it has paid net funding fees of about $198,200. The current hourly funding fee rate is approximately +0.00955%, with the direction still paying longs. Based on a static estimate using the current position size, the estimated hourly expenditure is about $472.

Looking at it in the long run, this is a trader known for patience: its previously completed large trades were all long positions mapped from long-hold U.S. stock trades—Micron for about 45 days, Marvell for about 29 days, and Cerebras for about 39 days—accumulating net profits of about $494,500. The same kind of patience was once a source of its profits, but on Hynix it is also digging deeper the longer it withstands…

Data shows that on Hyperliquid, Hynix’s Korean stock (SKHX) today rose to a high of $1,302.8, then quickly fell to $1,214.3; the intraday pullback was 6.8%.
