Uniswap v4 launches permissioned liquidity pools

Abstract generation in progress

Golden Finance reports that on July 24, Uniswap launched Permissioned Pools, a new hook standard for Uniswap v4. It supports permissioned asset trading through an automated market maker (AMM), with compliance enforced directly on-chain. Permissioned asset pools are jointly built by on-chain asset management teams. The first batch of partners includes Superstate, Securitize, and Dowgo.

Unlike compliance checks that rely on the frontend or off-chain verification, this pool will verify whether a wallet has been approved before executing swaps or liquidity operations. Issuers retain control over the allowlist, and approved users can directly trade assets on-chain that were previously not tradable on AMMs. In terms of cooperation, Superstate helped develop permissioned pool standards for tokenized stocks and funds, Securitize ensures that tokens issued via the DS protocol can be traded in a compliant manner on-chain, and Dowgo contributed an ERC-3643 integration.
