Liang Wenfeng’s vision is really immense. The future richest person in China will inevitably be Liang Wenfeng.

Yesterday I read the transcript of Liang Wenfeng’s investor conference for 4 hours, and I truly witnessed his grand vision. His goal is extremely clear: DeepSeek must achieve AGI (general-purpose artificial intelligence). This is the ultimate target; other products and commercialization are things he just gets around to doing as a matter of course—they’re not his goal.
He previously didn’t build a consumer conversation app, like Doubao, because he thinks that’s picking up sesame seeds. So even when users surged and the app crashed a few times, it didn’t increase compute power. Now the API-call business is also just something he does incidentally, yet it’s also very profitable. Since the consumer-side doesn’t make money, he doesn’t know what these users are for, so he doesn’t do it. What he wants to do is restraint—he doesn’t chase small money in the short term. What he wants to do is, after achieving AGI, to build a business whose profits are on the scale of a few percentage points of the entire world’s GDP.
Think about what that means—this is extremely terrifying data. This isn’t the vision of a Chinese company; this is the vision of a global company.
Earlier, I posted that Liang Wenfeng will be the future richest person in China. If DeepSeek achieves AGI in the future, succeeds in going public, and becomes a world-class company, he very well could become the richest person in China. #Gate事件合约首发狂欢
