I counted—almost all of China’s mainstream automakers are, damn it, doing their own chip development.


Big internet companies almost all have their own internal chip projects.
When did chip barriers get so low?
Or is it that there’s an oversupply of talent?
Companies really do chase the best possible user experience and lower costs, so developing chips in-house is indeed better.
But it seems like their overseas counterparts don’t do this.
