South Korea raises the cash deposit requirement for trading single-stock leveraged ETFs 3 days ahead of schedule
Golden Finance reported on July 24, citing Yonhap News Agency, that in response to continuous external criticism that the government’s single-stock leveraged investment regulatory measures were implemented too late, the South Korean government has decided to advance the strengthened basic margin measures originally planned for next month to July 31, which is three days earlier than the original schedule.
The Financial Services Commission (FSC) said on the 24th that to quickly stabilize market demand, the basic margin strengthening measures that were originally scheduled for August will be carried out on the 31st.
The Financial Services Commission released the relevant supplementary plan on the 16th of this month. The core contents include: raising the basic margin requirement from the current 10 million won to 30 million won, and limiting it to cash only. (Jin10)
