Deep Tide TechFlow message: On July 24, the U.S. CFTC extended the deadline for its public request for comments on 24/7 trading in the futures markets and energy commodity perpetual contracts by 30 days to August 26. The CFTC said that, based on industry feedback and new questions, the Commission wants to further evaluate the relevant issues, including expanding standard futures to 24/7 trading while keeping fixed delivery dates unchanged, and perpetual contracts with energy commodities that are deliverable in a manner that is storable or in physical form as the underlying.
