Odaily Planet Daily reported that Swan Bitcoin CEO Cory Klippsten said in an interview that Tether actually controls the publicly listed Bitcoin reserve company Twenty One Capital it supports, and uses it as a tool to advance political interests in the US, but provided no evidence to support this. Tether did not respond to a request for comment. Cory Klippsten also said that Strike founder Jack Mallers’s CEO role at Twenty One is nominal, with his main responsibility being to promote the company’s stock, and that he believes Mallers’s departure was not his personal decision.
