King Charles III of the United Kingdom accepted Prime Minister Starmer’s resignation letter

On July 20 local time, British King Charles III accepted the resignation of Prime Minister Starmer. Under the procedure, after the king accepted the resignation, Starmer formally stepped down as prime minister. Subsequently, the incoming Labour Party leader, Burnham, accepted the king’s appointment at Buckingham Palace, becoming the new prime minister and being authorized by the king to form a new government.
