I just checked a transaction status, and it took me switching between several RPC nodes before it finally showed up—I thought my network had crashed. Actually, this is pretty common. The “on-chain” data you see depends on what block height that node has synced to, and whether the indexer is stuck. Sometimes on your side it still shows “pending,” while others have already confirmed several blocks—this isn’t a false impression; it’s because you’re looking at different servers.

Lately, lots of testnets have been rolling out incentives. In the groups, people are constantly asking “when will the mainnet issue tokens,” but I think, don’t rush. What matters most is that the chain itself runs steadily, the nodes are sufficiently distributed, and the indexing service doesn’t crash—nothing is more important than that. Otherwise, once the mainnet really goes live, if you have to wait half a minute just to check your balance, then what’s the point of all this?

Feeling a bit down, right? But look at it another way: all these delays and broken/unconnected on-chain data are actually reminding us not to have too much fantasy about “instant.” Stay patient, and set up a few extra RPCs as backups too. When, one day, the tea cup really lands on the table steadily, then being late by a minute or two won’t matter.
