Golden Finance reported that on July 23 local time, U.S. President Donald Trump said that, effective immediately, any losses suffered by ships, cargo, and related assets would be paid from Iranian funds held and controlled by the United States. Trump said the losses involved could be very large, but compensating using Iranian funds is a “fair and reasonable approach.” (CCTV News)
