Golden Finance reported that on July 24, all three major US stock indexes fell collectively. The Nasdaq Composite fell 2.15%, the S&P 500 index fell 1.21%, and the Dow Jones fell 0.97%. The Nasdaq 7 mega-cap index dropped 4.8%, with a market value loss of $797B. Tesla plunged more than 14%, posting its largest single-day drop since March 11, 2025. The company’s Q2 net profit missed expectations, and its gross margin further declined. Google fell more than 7%, and its total market value fell below $4 trillion. Amazon fell more than 4%, Meta fell by more than 3%, Intel and Microsoft fell by more than 2%, while Apple and Nvidia fell by more than 1%. Defense stocks performed strongly: Lockheed Martin rose more than 10%, Raytheon Technologies rose more than 7%, GE Aerospace rose more than 2%, and Northrop Grumman and General Dynamics rose more than 1%. The crypto mining stocks concept surged across the board: Cipher Digital rose more than 5%, Hut 8 rose more than 7%, MARA Holdings, TeraWulf, and Riot Platforms rose more than 2%, and CleanSpark rose nearly 2%.
