*US Regulation: The Final Catalyst for Bitcoin Adoption*
Regulatory clarity is the last major unlock for Bitcoin in the US. The current administration is pushing bipartisan stablecoin and blockchain legislation. The US and UK also released a 10-point plan for tokenized finance covering cross-border stablecoins and tokenized securities.
But opposition is growing too. Senate Democrats are demanding stricter rules around government officials’ crypto interests. Meanwhile the Basel Committee’s new crypto capital standards give banks a clear framework for custody.
For institutional allocators, this matters. Forecasts assume CLARITY Act passage in Q2 2026 for a $130K-$160K BTC target. Without it, conservative scenarios drop to $75K-$95K due to regulatory delays.
