Tesla's stock $TSLA is down sharply since Wednesday's earnings, and the robotaxi question in your chart isn't quite the right one. The actual story is simpler and worse.

Tesla bought its record delivery quarter. 0% to 3.99% financing across the entire Model Y range, locked in through all of Q3. That's how you get 480,126 deliveries and still watch operating margin collapse to 1.4% from 4.1% a year ago.
Free cash flow went negative for the first time since early 2024, a $1.09B deficit, because capex jumped 142% to $5.79B, funding Optimus and AI infrastructure, not the car business that's actually bleeding margin right now.
Revenue hit a record $28.24B. Almost none of it reached the bottom line. That's the gap the market's actually pricing this week.
TSLA-14.60%
