I thought this market would keep grinding on, but the afternoon session open just slapped the answer in your face. When the price dumped during the session, $TRUMP repeatedly pressed down from the highs; TRUMP’s rebound had no continuity, and the volume couldn’t keep up either—clearly, nobody was taking it when it went up.

I saw that the overhead pressure was still effective, so I didn’t get carried away by a short-term pullback; once the price returned to around 2.056, that’s when I executed a long. First look at the follow-through, then decide the direction—this kind of short entry feels more solid.

Now the current price is 1.598, and this short position has realized +1580.62% in gains. It was slow and messy before, but once it played out, it really paid off.

Close 80% first, and keep the remaining 20% while continuing to pay attention; the protective level is set around the entry cost. If it keeps dumping further, let the profits run; if there’s a sudden rebound, at least you won’t end up spitting back the results you’ve already taken.

Profits don’t balloon, and drawdowns aren’t hopeless. The market is something you wait for, and profits are something you hold. This isn’t the time to rush—missing this leg is fine. Wait for the next wave of signals before you act.
