🇺🇸 23 U.S. Governors Back Trump's AI Utility Cost Pledge

As AI data centers continue to expand, electricity demand is rising rapidly. One growing concern is whether households will end up paying higher utility bills because of that growth.
To address this, 23 U.S. governors have backed President Trump's pledge aimed at protecting residential customers from utility costs linked to AI data centers.
The idea is straightforward: if AI infrastructure requires major power investments, those costs should not automatically be shifted to everyday consumers.
While the pledge is not a law, it reflects increasing attention on balancing AI innovation with consumer protection.
As AI adoption accelerates, energy policy may become just as important as technology itself.
